Our Services
We provide impartial advice, consulting, training and design services to help our clients implement the rigours German Passive House energy standard through out there construction projects across the U.K. We are recognised by the German Passive House Institute as a certifier of quality approved Passive Houses and are dedicated to raising awareness about reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions through the use of the passive house standard and renewable technologies.
Impartial Advice:
We are currently in the process of setting up a passive house showroom facility in order to showcase the products and services available for Passive House buildings and helping us to provide impartial product specifications and advice.
Consulting:
We provide help and advice to design professionals and organisations to assist them achieve the Passive House standard in their building projects.
Certification:
This certification as "Quality Approved Passive House" consists of reviewing the design and specification of products and services, PH site management, all relevant calculations, building testing, Passive House certification and post maintenance.
Passive House Design:
We provide a comprehensive architectural design service which will take a construction project from design through to certification. We put particular emphasis of energy conservation and reducing the buildings CO2 emissions at every step of the way and guaranteeing certification to Passive House standard.
Ventilation Design:
We also offer a design service for the heat exchange ventilation system, based on CAD Vent, an AutoCAD based program. Before the design is finalized, we offer a routing proposal, which is to be checked by the architect and designer. The planning shows the individual parts of the ductwork and can be used as a shopping list. However there are often some few amendments on site necessary.
Pressure testing and air leakage detection
We offer pressure testing for domestic properties according to PH guidelines with certification. In conjunction with smoke testing or thermal imaging, this test can be used for air leakage detection of new or existing properties. --> More information on pressure testing
Training:
We are also developing a seminar and lecture facility within our premises where we can provide up to date technical and professional training on the Passive House standard and energy efficiency. This will include hands on workshops and CPD events where people will get a real learning experience as opposed to a merely academic.
Study Tours:
In order to experience some live projects, we offer study tours to various projects in the UK. For commercial applications, we also offer study tours to mainland Europe.
